That DING! Moment

It’s no secret that I have been praying…praying…praying for God to reveal to me a path He has for me and Titus II Woman Ministry. I have felt like I have not been able to give 100% to this ministry or any of my wonderful team members. This past year has been crazy for us; more hard that happy, but we have seen God provide above all. It’s a beautiful sight really. And still I pray for revelation.

that-ding-moment

Here’s the DING moment; ready? I was so busy focusing on the future path that I didn’t stop to look at the simple sidewalk right beneath my feet. It doesn’t look like the path I imagined; rugged, dirt, with pebbles and trees lining the way and maybe even a small brook to the right trickling with glittery water.  Nope. The sidewalk fits just two side-by-side It has more cracks than the eye can follow and there are sections where the cement is in such a mess that it is literally lifting from the ground where it once laid flat and smooth. It’s chipped, cracked, and bumpy now.

You can see them, can’t you! I’m with you.

The sidewalk is where God is meeting me right now. He is the One who walks beside me; room for just two. He’s not asking me to walk alone, but with Him This is a hard path, but it leads to a beautiful journey and the path becomes a trail always assigned by the Way Maker.

The sidewalk is my revealed path. My destination is not clear, but the journey is being mapped out. I have to walk this specific path to get to the trail I have imagined. Do you see what I’m saying here?

Ladies, we can get too focused on what God has for us in the future that we loose sight of what He has for us right now. How many beautiful moments and blessings ar ewe missing because we want the bigger picture right now?

I dream of the future with Titus II Woman Ministry. I dream of happiness, family writing, and so many passions that bubble and brew within me.  It’s okay to dream, but it’s no okay to live in the dreams. Reality always comes back and there is the sidewalk needing to be walked upon.

Give your dreams to the Way Maker. He loves to care for them and mold them to perfection for you. His plans…his dreams are far better than you can ever imagine for yourself. One step, side-by-side, forward. He’s got you.

I live to serve my Father. My focus is and should always be on the here ad now. How can I make a difference today? Who is my divine appointment and how can I be a beautiful blessing to right now? It’s your turn to ask yourself these questions.

You aren’t alone. Never. Ever. See today….it’s beautiful.

Loving you,

Tara DeMaris

  1. Wise words! Loved the article. This is so true, we live in this day, Matthew 6 tells us that tomorrow has enough worries of its own. Love you!

  2. This “old” mom really enjoys reading the blogs that you younger sisters pen. I’m challenged, encouraged, admonished, and yes, entertained! Please continue in this. I read every one. I am single and it is good to have the koinonia with those of you in the body who live far away from my Iowa, and from each other. We are women who are all deeply loved and who all love the same God-man, our beloved Jesus. Our walks are so divergent, as are our habits and traditions. Bless you, Tara, for being His obedient community organizer, and bless all of you scribes who share tidbits from your homes, workplaces, churches, and His throne with all of the rest of us. Shalom.

    • Thank you, Becky, for following the blog and reading what God puts on our hearts. It’s been an up and down struggle for so many of us writers, but we know that God is using us to speak to other women. I am blessed to be part of it. This ministry is my passion and it was instilled in me by God because there was once a time that I wanted nothing to do with women’s ministry. Now, I can’t get enough. May blessings pour over you!
