Thankful Thursday

We had our precious Chocolate Lab, Rex, die recently. He was 14 years old, so he had a wonderful life. Even though he was my oldest son’s dog, we all loved him very much. My daughter was just 2 when we got him, and my youngest wasn’t even born yet. During this hard time, I witnessed my three children come together and comfort each other. Fellow parents, understand this, as usually we are breaking up arguments between our teenagers and trying to get them to communicate with each other, I was filled with such sorrow, but so joyful to see that in the hard times my children will pull together and love one another. I’m so thankful for those few glimpses of them being truly friends and not just brothers and sister. Please share a story or a time when you have seen joy and happiness in a time of sorrow.
