Favored One

The angel came to her and said, “Rejoice favored woman!  The Lord is with you.”  Luke 1:28 HCSB

Are there more beautiful words a person can be greeted with?

I cannot forget the first time I realized that this applies as much to me as it did to Mary when the angel greeted her.  This also applies to you.  Are you rejoicing?  You should be.  Take a deep breath.  No matter what you are doing or going through right now, breathe in as deeply as you can and fill your lungs.  Feel it?  The Lord is with you.  There is life in you, and that life is HIM.

God formed the body of man from the dust of the ground, and He breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being complete in body and spirit.  Genesis 2:7

We were made in HIS image. (Genesis 1:27).  We were knitted together by HIM in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13).  Through Christ Jesus we are chosen, were chosen, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in HIS sight; to be adopted for HIMSELF in love (Ephesians 1:4-5).  HE is in our spiritual DNA.

Do you still not know the Lord is with you?  Then let me ask you this: Are you with HIM?  HE is knocking, you just have to open that door then see how HE persues you in the fulness of HIS love and might.

Lord God, may we all know You are with us. May we surrender to Your life in us and know the fullness of Your might and love.  Thank you for your life, your blood, your love, and your transformation in those who know and seek You with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength.  May we share You with those we come in contact with everyday.  May Your holy presence and shine from us as we eagerly wait upon You.  Thank you, Lord.  In love I pray in the holy name of Jesus.  Amen

As apostles of Christ we could have been a burden to you, but we were gentle among you, like a mother caring for her little children. We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us. Surely you remember, brothers, our toil and hardship; we worked night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone while we preached the gospel of God to you. You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed. For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory.
