Where were you on this day seventeen years ago?
I remember exactly where I was. I was standing, with a four month old baby on my hip, in the corner of our college gym at a pep rally. My husband came to me and pulled me from the assembly out to the hall to see what I thought was a movie playing on the mounted television.
Sadly, it was a not a movie. It was the twin towers falling from the sky and clouds of dust from pieces of buildings and people falling to the ground.
I will never forget that day and the terror that filled my soul. I didn’t know then exactly how our family and personal lives would change, but they did. It all changed. History was made that day and we will never forget those who lost their lives too soon. We mourn with those who loved and lost.
